NHL where are you?
by Glen on Aug.25, 2008, under Randomness
Oh man, I feel like I am going insane some days. I really nee my NHL fix, like bigtime. All this news about Mats Sundin possibly going to Montreal is really making me crazy, especially when I hear the latest rumor about him going to the Rangers or some other god awful team. If he went back to the Leafs I wouldn’t mind so much, at least then I can laugh even harder at the Leafs fans for another year wasted. Either way, WHERE’S MY NHL?
In other news, dear ole dad is making his way up to good ole Gatineau next month, can’t wait! Should be fun to spend some time with dad and start the basement, which I’ve been putting off for far too long. I am a bit nervous to start construction, but hopefully with dad there we can make some good decisions and get some quality work done at the same time. TV in the basement is slowly becoming more of a reality!
Also this is Raechel’s last week of work at EDC; in a couple of weeks she will be in Toronto finishing up her last course, working at Ward Funeral Homes and getting that much closer to her Funeral Directors license. You go baby, you make me so proud
Until next time… (and wow, 2 posts in a week? I rock the blog-o-sphere)
Hello?
by Glen on Aug.19, 2008, under Randomness
Yes it’s been quite awhile since I have posted on here, I guess the lack of activity really goes to show how much I support my blog and keeping it “up to date”. But anyways, the summer is rolling by and it’s been a good one. Raechel and I managed to get the backyard almost done and we have plans to get the basement started come this fall, hopefully done in time for Doug and Doug’s arrival for the World Junior Hockey Tournament which start December 26th.
Also we just returned from Newfoundland to attend Doug and Nanette’s wedding, and I am glad to report it went off without a hitch. The ceremony was great, the reception wonderful and it was great to catch up with the family and friends while we were back home. Getting back to Ottawa was a bit of a challenge with both of us taking different flights, and both getting delayed and taking almost 14 hours to get back home. Raechel even had to get a bus from Montreal to Ottawa as there was no flights left for her to get on until 5:30am the next morning, thanks Air Canada.
While we were home I was glad to get a couple rounds of golf in with Dougie, here’s some pictures for your enjoyment
The Wilds (Doug, Chris Verge and myself)
Black Duck Stag Golf (Doug, Dave Furey, Ian Mac and myself)
Thanks guys for the good times, cheers.
